Zoning 101 Tour: Building Healthy Neighborhoods
The City of Dallas Zoning 101 Tour continues with Building Healthy Neighborhoods, an evening conversation about the relationship between zoning, the built environment and the everyday conditions that shape neighborhood life.
The next Zoning 101 experience will explore how zoning shapes the places around us, from streets and public spaces to the everyday conditions that can support healthier neighborhoods and healthier lives.
The program will include a short Zoning + Health 101 presentation, a moderated conversation with community and subject-matter voices, and small-group listening conversations with City of Dallas Planning & Development staff.
Zoning 101 Tour: Getting Around Dallas
Your daily route tells a story about how Dallas is built.
Every day, Dallas residents move between home, work, school, groceries, healthcare and the people and places they rely on. How long those trips take - and which options are available along the way - is shaped partly by where homes, jobs, shops and services can be located.
On August 27, the City of Dallas Planning & Development Department and Dallas College invite residents to Getting Around Dallas, an interactive Zoning 101 experience about the connection between where things are and how we move.
You do not need to know anything about zoning to participate. Bring the routes you know, the places you need and the things you wish were closer.
Zoning 101 Tour: How Dallas Takes Shape (Evening)
You don’t have to be a zoning expert to be part of the conversation.
The City of Dallas Planning & Development Department is launching the Zoning 101 Tour to help make a topic that can feel complicated, technical, or out of reach a little easier to understand.
The first event, How Dallas Takes Shape, is a hands-on introduction to zoning, growth, and the rules shaping everyday life across Dallas.
City staff will be there to break things down, answer questions, and help connect zoning to the places we live, work, move, gather, and grow.
