On November 5th, the Dallas Development Code Public Draft #1 was released as a part of the ongoing Dallas Zoning Reform initiative.
Draft #1 marks the beginning of a citywide conversation to gather input on the new code. We invite you to view Draft #1 and share your questions and comments. Over the next few months, we will take questions and comments. The comments received during this phase will help inform Draft #2.
Ways to Get Involved
Your involvement is essential! There are a variety of ways to get involved. Dallas Development Code Public Draft #1, along with an executive summary and FAQs are available in the Documents & Presentations page. Beginning November 16, 2026, a copy of the Draft #1 executive summary will be available for review at all Dallas public libraries and a copy of the full Draft #1 will be available at the following libraries:
